Soo.. BJ booked a ticket to come visit. I was overjoyed despite my reservations.. Then he calls me to say 'Sorry babe.. it doesnt look possible for this weekend again..' He gave me a reasonable sounding excuse due to family committments. He even suggested another time [like a month away] based on both our schedules. I am disgruntled. [Always wanted an excuse to use that word] ... was that manspeak for 'I've changed my mind, I don't think this is a good idea anymore..'??

I'm not psychic, but I smell a "delete" in someone's future...LOL.
Now back to the matter at hand...I dunno, but to book and then remember that he has family commitments sounds a little off to me...but what do I know? Like my namesake above says, trust your intuition.
Didn't think it was possible, but I worked "swoon" into my vocabulary after I decided that people just didn't use it enough.
maybe he really couldn't make it for real. I mean, doesn't it cost money to change a booked ticket? Even if I had changed my mind I would go through with it just out of cheapness. but then, I'm not a dude.
nuh min' yah mi darlin' yuh nuh 'ave nuh back up?
Bright I know but a hot gyal like yuh? if not guh fin' one!
I am trying to take my own advice!!!
I'd give him a chance - it's the first time it's happened and life occurs. However if it happens again then I'd start to worry
Maybe it's actually manspeak for "family commitments" or maybe he's scared he won't be as much fun outta his own territory. (Home-court advantage & all that factor in wid some people, kooky as that sounds.)
Not sure but see if he pulls out of any more plans
Question, did he know about the plans before the trip or after he made the reservations?
From what you've said about this guy, I don't think he'd do something like this if it wasn't genuine. Give him a chance. Reschedule and see what happens. If he cancels again, run like hell the other way.
Life is full of disappointments sweetheart. "Disgruntled." You sound like a postal worker.
despite being disgruntled, I do believe that he genuinely did not remember / know of this family committment until he told his mom his proposed travel dates.
I'ma give him one more chance but my hopes not up anymore.. *pouts*
LOL@Leon. u so silly.
